These figures make it much harder for the Fed to justify maintaining its current restrictive policy stance for much longer.\n\nTraders should consider positioning for a decline in short-term interest rates and a weaker US dollar over the coming weeks. Options strategies like buying interest rate futures puts or selling out-of-the-money dollar calls could be effective ways to position for this expected policy shift.
