With the Federal Reserve not expected to cut interest rates today, we anticipate the U.S. dollar will remain strong. The latest core inflation number, which came in at a stubborn 3.1%, gives the Fed cover to keep policy tight. This “higher for longer” stance suggests traders should look at derivatives that bet on continued high short-term interest rates.
