Hay momentos que nos recuerdan que, más allá de nuestra actividad cotidiana, somos parte de una comunidad. El reciente terremoto en Colombia es uno de ellos.
En VT Markets seguimos con preocupación la situación que atraviesan las personas y comunidades afectadas. Para nosotros, además, Colombia no es un lugar lejano: es hogar de miembros de nuestro propio equipo y de una comunidad que ha crecido junto a nosotros en Latinoamérica. Saber que personas cercanas a nosotros, sus familias y sus comunidades están viviendo las consecuencias de esta emergencia hace que hoy nuestra atención esté especialmente con el país.
Como una forma concreta de acompañar y sumar a los esfuerzos de recuperación, VT Markets realizó una donación de USD $5.000, equivalentes a aproximadamente COP $15,6 millones, a la Cruz Roja Colombiana, apoyando su labor de atención y asistencia a las personas afectadas.
Detrás de la respuesta a una emergencia hay muchas personas trabajando para ayudar a otras: equipos de atención, voluntarios y comunidades enteras que se organizan para salir adelante. Con esta aportación queremos contribuir a ese esfuerzo colectivo y respaldar el trabajo de la Cruz Roja Colombiana allí donde la ayuda es necesaria.
Sabemos que una donación no puede borrar las consecuencias de lo ocurrido. Pero creemos profundamente en el valor de sumar: cada ayuda, cada persona y cada organización que decide involucrarse puede contribuir a que una comunidad encuentre el apoyo que necesita para comenzar a recuperarse.
A nuestro equipo en Colombia, a sus familias y a todas las personas afectadas, queremos decirles algo sencillo: estamos con ustedes.
