At the time of writing, gold was still down by nearly 2.20%.\n\n

Implied volatility on gold options is already ticking up, with the GVZ index climbing 4% in the last 24 hours. We believe buying protective call options on gold and put options on the dollar are logical hedges against a breakdown in talks.\n\n
