The euro is described as vulnerable below 1.1400, with risk towards 1.1300, and that sets up EURINR to slip towards 107.50-108.50 if it holds below 109. Elsewhere, USDJPY is flagged as bullish towards 164.50-165, while EURJPY is seen extending to 187/188 above 186; USDCNY may ease to 6.75 while below 6.7850. The Australian dollar is approaching support at 0.6960, sterling has support near 1.3250 before a potential move towards 1.34, and USDINR has reached 95.85 with further downside to 95.50/25 if weakness persists.

Rates are framed as lower but steady in the US, with Treasury yields able to test support before resuming a broader uptrend, while the Federal Reserve decision tomorrow is in focus. German yields have fallen with limited downside room, with support expected to preserve the uptrend, and India’s 10-year GoI yield has dropped sharply with scope to fall further. Equities are mixed: the Dow is seen in a 52,000-53,000 band above 52,000; the DAX needs a break over 25,500 for 26,000, otherwise 25,000; the Nifty targets 24,100-24,150; the Nikkei points to 60,000 or lower; and Shanghai risks 3,750-3,700 below 3,900. In commodities, Brent and WTI are projected towards $80 and $75, gold at $4,000-$4,200, silver at $55-$65 with $55 support, copper above $6.30 towards $6.50, and natural gas down to $2.70-$2.65 after breaking its prior range.

Currency and Rate Trading Strategies

With the U.S. Dollar Index pushing toward 102, we recommend derivative traders buy Euro put options as the EURUSD pair looks set to slip below 1.1400 toward 1.1300. This downward momentum is heavily pressured by falling crude prices, which historically bolsters the greenback. For regional exposure, shorting EURINR futures below 109 offers a high-probability trade targeting the 107.50-108.50 range.

We should position for further Yen weakness by buying USDJPY call options targeting 164.50 to 165.00, especially as recent Bank of Japan policy updates have failed to support the currency. Meanwhile, we can look to establish long positions on the British Pound near the 1.3250 support level using bull call spreads, anticipating a rebound toward 1.3400.

Commodity and Equity Derivative Ideas

In the energy sector, we advise shorting Brent and WTI futures or purchasing put options, as easing geopolitical tensions are driving prices down toward $80 and $75 respectively. Recent global supply data suggests a growing market surplus, which aligns with this technical breakdown. Additionally, Natural Gas has broken its previous consolidation range, making it a prime candidate for short positions targeting $2.70 to $2.65.

For equity derivatives, we see contrasting opportunities: buy call options on the Nifty index targeting 24,150, while simultaneously buying put options on the Nikkei as it slides toward 60,000. For the Dow Jones, which remains stable between 52,000 and 53,000, we recommend employing iron condor strategies to capture premium decay.

Precious metals are currently locked in tight ranges, meaning we should sell out-of-the-money strangles on Gold between $4,000 and $4,200, and on Silver between $55 and $65 to collect premium. Copper, however, shows strong upward momentum above $6.30, making it wise to initiate long call options targeting $6.50.

Start trading now — click <a href="https://www.vtmarkets.com/en-ca/trade-now/>here to create your real VT Markets account.

Falling crude lifts dollar; euro vulnerable.
