This week’s figure aligns with the January 2026 CPI report, which showed core inflation cooled to 3.7%, its lowest level in nearly two years. As a result, the market is now pricing in a higher probability of a rate cut by mid-year, with fed fund futures implying a 65% chance of a cut by the July FOMC meeting.<\/p>\n
