This strong external account data, combined with monthly inflation that has been decelerating from its peaks of over 25% in late 2025 to a reported 13.2% last month, builds a case for continued economic stabilization. The government is demonstrating it can manage its twin deficits. This should give us more confidence in the sustainability of the current policy direction.<\/p>\n
In response, we should look at trades that benefit from a more stable or gradually appreciating Peso. With the Central Bank’s benchmark rate still holding near 100%, the cost of being short the Peso is high, and this news reduces the perceived risk of a sudden devaluation.
