We are positioning for a potential pullback in equity indices like the S&P 500, which had rallied on hopes of easier monetary policy. Traders should consider buying near-term put options on the SPY or QQQ exchange-traded funds to hedge against or profit from downside risk. This stronger-than-expected economic data challenges the narrative that has fueled recent market gains.<\/p>\n

We are looking at VIX call options, as the index is currently hovering near a historically low level of 13.
