This decline mirrored an aggregated 0.8% decrease on the London Metal Exchange, which operated while <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vtmarkets.com\/analysis\/chinese-stocks-see-mixed-results-before-labor-day\/\">Chinese markets<\/a> were closed for a holiday last week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vtmarkets.com\/precious-metals\/\">Commodities<\/a> including SHFE zinc, tin, aluminium, lead, and nickel also experienced mixed movements, with zinc dipping by 0.2% to 23,330 yuan, tin dropping by 0.6% to 259,820 yuan, aluminium rising by 0.7% to 20,745 yuan, lead advancing by 1.4% to 17,575 yuan, and nickel increasing by 0.4% to 144,590 yuan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Dollar index rebounds<\/strong><br>The dollar index rebounded, following a <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.yahoo.com\/news\/forex-dollar-rebounds-three-week-152342170.html#:~:text=The%20dollar%20index%20rebounded%20on%20Thursday%20after%20earlier,Reserve%20is%20likely%20to%20begin%20cutting%20interest%20rates.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">three-week low<\/a> in the previous session. A stronger dollar renders greenback-priced metals more expensive for holders of other currencies, thereby affecting demand dynamics in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Smelters&#8217; production cuts unlikely<\/strong><br>While copper prices have seen some support from potential cuts in smelters&#8217; output due to limited mine supply, data has not yet reflected significant reductions.
