China\u2019s trade balance in March was $51.13bn in surplus. This was below the forecast of $112bn.<\/p>\n

We see this as a direct negative for currencies tied to Chinese growth, particularly the Australian dollar. The AUD has already dropped to a six-month low of 0.6450 against the US dollar on this news.
